Hillcrest Staff

Bro. Tyler Gaulden grew up in church and was saved at the age of 16. Although he originally planned to become a firefighter, God had other plans and called him into the ministry during his senior year of high school. He holds two degrees: a Bachelor's in Pastoral Studies from Piedmont Baptist College and a Master's in Pastoral Leadership from Andersonville Theological Seminary. Bro. Tyler has been in full-time ministry for over fifteen years, faithfully serving as a youth pastor, evangelist, and senior pastor. He currently serves as the senior pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon, Tennessee. He is married to his wife, Erica, and they have two children—Mason and Ella.

David and Denise enjoy a blended family of six children and several grandchildren. Having both been widowed, they enjoy serving together in ministry. Since their marriage in 2013, David and Denise lost a son, Bryant, to Leukemia in 2017. Helping hurting people is one passion they share. All of their children are saved and in church serving the Lord. David has served in ministry since 1983 and loves to lead folks to Christ. Denise grew up in a pastor's home and understands ministry. David enjoys serving the Lord through teaching, preaching, and missions. Discipling and evangelism are such important aspects of church ministry. He has a passion for ministry through sharing the love of Christ with others. Hillcrest began as a church home for David and Denise as they relocated in 2017 to Lebanon. In September of 2020, David joined the staff of Hillcrest and enjoys the connections here. Hillcrest is a wonderful church family.

Troy Peach is the Music Minister at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Troy joined our staff in September of 2020. He and his wife Katy have wonderful twin boys, Clayton and Shelton. Troy oversees all aspects of music at Hillcrest Baptist Church, and leads the worship and choir each service lifting up the name of Jesus. Troy, originally from Nashville, grew up a preacher's kid where he was involved in music from an early age. Troy was saved at the age of 6 at a revival meeting his Grandfather was preaching. Revival meetings with family, his early career as a DJ in Music City, professionally touring the country for over 20 years, Troy's love for Gospel music has always remained at the forefront. Troy is an award-winning Producer and Engineer and has been a part of numerous #1 songs and Dove Award winning and nominated songs and albums. In 2020 God changed Troy's heart and desire from travelling to a more permanent home schedule. Troy's favorite scripture is Isaiah 43:1-2.

Husband. Father. Preacher. Pastor Bryce Campbell joined the Hillcrest staff in the summer of 2026 as our Student Pastor, coming to Middle Tennessee from Kentucky, where he previously served in church ministry. Bryce hit the ground running — he was with our students at Arise! Youth Camp in his very first weeks on the hill and has been investing in the youth of Hillcrest ever since, pouring into students on Sunday mornings and at Youth Midweek every Wednesday night. Bryce is married to McKenzie, and they have two children — Beckett and Dolly. We're incredibly excited to see what God has in store for the future of Hillcrest Students. We believe He's just getting started, and we can't wait to watch lives be changed, faith grow deeper, and a generation rise up to follow Jesus with boldness!
